Abstract
A Decision Support Systems (DSS) is proposed to enhance operational efficiency for Water Distribution Networks, through embedment of Intelligent Software Agents, based on the following design approaches: Soft Sensor Agents, Supervisor Agents, Diagnoser Agents and Operator Agent. The Intelligent Agents aim to support dense monitoring, operational efficiency and water quality preservation. They are integrated into Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems, through an edge-cloud architecture.
