Experimental Platform Design for Particle Behavior Investigation

The hopper is a kind of important equipment in bulk handling process. In this paper, an experimental platform was designed. The experimental platform was mainly composed of a feeding head, a vertical conveying screw machine, a horizontal conveying screw and a lifting device, a supporting structure, the visual experimental system,the electrical system and the acquisition system. the particle behavior for hoppers can be assessed by the experimental platform. And the visual experimental system will help to investigate the real particle flow behavior and will provide instructions for hopper design in future
