The three last decades have seen a massive research program dealing with the global behavior of structures under seismic actions. This leads to formulate the behavior factor as the product of three factors: ductility, overstrength and redundancy. The synthesis of ductility factor's model as well as the experimental results have revealed lacks in the RPA code, which requires only one class of ductility rather than several ones in one hand, and it doesn't take into consideration flexibility and ignores the overstrength factor, on the other hand. So this study aims to show the new outlook of calibrating the behavior factor enabling thus its introduction into a future rehabilitation of RPA.
