Research of eddy current inspection system for condenser titanium tubes in nuclear power plant

Condenser titanium tubes are easily to generate many defects in nuclear power plants, such as corrosion, damage, and wall thickness thinning. Eddy current technology is the main method of condenser titanium tubes in-service inspection, but manual operation has the problem of low efficiency. This article designed one new titanium tube eddy current inspection system based on automatic push-puller, and successfully applied in the nuclear power plant in China. The results show that this system can realize eddy current inspection in the condenser tubes with push-puller machine.
