Application of magnetoelastic effects to the evaluation of elastic and plastic strains in steel structural members

The paper deals with different methods for evaluating macroscopic and microscopic stresses in ferromagnetic materials by magnetic characteristics. It demonstrates the possibility of reconstructing strain curves according to measured magnetic characteristics of steel products.
