Dr. Maria Beatriz Silva joins MATEC Web of Conferences Editorial Board

We warmly welcome Dr. Maria Beatriz Silva to the Editorial Board for MATEC Web of Conferences.

Dr. Silva is currently an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Manufacturing and Industrial Management Unit of the Mechanical Engineering Department. She is an integrated member of the Mechanical Engineering Institute (IDMEC) from the Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transports and Aeronautics (LAETA), the coordinator of the Manufacturing and Industrial Management Unit and the co-coordinator of the IST Diversity and Gender Balance group and a member of the IST Pedagogical Council.

Dr. Silva holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon (ULisboa), and her research activity covers the areas of experimental and numerical simulation of metal forming. She is involved in several scientific projects, international scientific collaborations, as well as several scientific committees of international conferences.
