SACAM 2020 proceedings specially selected for indexation in Scopus
We are pleased to report that the proceedings of the 12th South African Conference on Computational and Applied Mechanics (SACAM 2020), published in MATEC Web of Conferences, have been specially selected for indexation in Scopus.
According to Professor Sebastian Skatulla (Chairman of the Organising Committeee and Editor), MATEC was chosen “…in order to give the papers better accessibility in the international research and industry communities.”
Professor Skatulla went on to say “All papers submitted were subjected to a full process of double-blind peer review. The review of manuscripts was undertaken by members of the Scientific Advisory Board and other identified leading experts, acting independently on one or more assigned manuscripts. This invaluable assistance, which has greatly enhanced the quality of the Proceedings, is gratefully acknowledged.”
As the publisher of SACAM 2020, we are satisfied to see the quality of these proceedings recognised through this indexation and the hard work of contributors and the organising committee suitably acknowledged. Our publishing partnerships are subject to rigorous quality criteria and robust processes which benefit the reputation of individual conferences and proceedings publishing more generally.
The open access proceedings from SACAM 2020 present findings from a large range of fundamental and applied research topics as well as industrial applications in the broad field of mechanics. The five main themes are:
- Structural Mechanics and Dynamics
- Fluid Dynamics
- Thermodynamics
- Manufacturing and Process Engineering
- Control Theory and Optimisation
