With the continuous development of the times, innovations in the field of science and technology are also advancing rapidly. People's pursuit of modern technology has changed from mainly making life convenient to achieving convenience while also protecting the environment. Fuel cells are a device that directly converts chemical energy from fuel and oxidants into electrical energy for power production, have wide applications in today's scientific research, production, and daily life. Due to their unique clean characteristics that distinguish them from other fuel cells, they are receiving increasing attention all over the world. This paper briefly introduces several common platinum-based catalysts, including their preparation methods and the latest research results. At the same time, the composition, and particle size of the catalysts are introduced, and their effects on catalytic activity and stability are discussed. In addition, recent advancements in enhancing the performance of anode catalysts and lowering the cost of cathode catalysts are reviewed, and the future development of platinum-based catalysts is prospected.
